Digital literacy workshops

In 2025, PTS ran a successful digital literacy workshop in Majiga Village, Lilongwe, Malawi, where over 100 students, most of whom had never used a computer, were trained in basic digital skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. These hubs are intended to serve as training spaces, career development centres, and safe learning environments for marginalised communities. By using solar power, the centres can operate in areas with limited or no access to electricity, supporting long term use and sustainability. The project aims to expand this model by building permanent hubs that will support future groups of learners and deliver lasting value to the wider community.

Support to Learners in Schools

Between 2020 and 2021, PTS worked closely with communities to support both teachers and learners during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisation provided a virtual platform where free catch-up lessons were delivered . PTS also offered stipends to teachers to keep them engaged and motivated. These efforts helped reduce the impact of prolonged school closures. Guided by a belief in nurturing future leaders, PTS remained committed to making sure that no learner was left behind during this challenging time. Below were the subjects taught:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Natural Sciences
  • Technology
  • Social Sciences
  • Life skills
